Druk Path Trek - 12 Days

This is a 6-day moderate trek in the Himalayas with a city tour in the historical, religious and cultural centers of Bhutan.  During the 12 days, you will visit Drukgyal Dzong (an important historical fort of Bhutan, a typical, local farm house, the Taktsang Monastery (Tiger Nest) and the Meditative Cave around Paro. Then the 6-day trek starts in the Jela Dzong passing through the rhododendrons and blue pine forest, ice lakes and the snowcapped Mountain View from high pass. You will experience the nomadic life style of the people and the rich variety of flora and fauna along the way. The trek ends in Thumphu (the capital of Bhutan). Here you’ll take a tour of the National Library, the museum, the monastery, Stups around Thumphu, Punakha and Wangdue. Then, we’ll head back to Paro since it’s the center of Bhutan

Day 01: After arriving at Paro Airport, the Bhutanese Travel representative receive you then transfer to Hotel and short biffing about tour and overnight at Hotel Paro.

Day 02: Sightseeing to Drukgyal Dzong (a historical fort and typical farm house around Paro) overnight at Hotel Paro.

Day 03: Paro about 3 hr hike to Taktsang (Tiger Nest) overnight Hotel at Paro

Day 04: Paro 3.5 hr Hike to Jela Dzong (2570m) overnight at Camp

Day 05: Jela Dzong 5hr trek through rhododendron Yak meadows to Jangchulakha (2880m) overnight at Camp

Day 06: Jangchulakha about 6 hr trek through berutiful  Jimilangtse Lake to Jimilangteso (4000m) overnight at Camp

Day 07: Jimilangteso 5 hr trek through nomadic life of people with Lakes to Simkoto (3500m) overnight at Camp

Day 08: Simkota 5 hr trek enjoying the view of Mt. Gangkar Puensum (the highest peak in Bhutan) from Dchula pass toPhajoding (2880m) overnight at Camp

Day 09: Phajoding 4 hr trek down to Thimphu (2430m) relaxing and overnight Hotel at Thimphu

Day 10: Sightseeing around Thimphu  Secretariat Building, National Library, Historical fort and Monumental  then overnight Hotel at Thimphu

Day 11: a full day trip to Punakha and Wangdue (former Capital and oldest historical fort of Bhutan) and evenigh drive back to Thimphu overnight Hotel at Thimphu

Day 12: Thimphu drive to Paro and Depature
